Zest
Waterfront Venues Rebrands –
Chic rebranding provides an up market laid back style associated with the Hamptons.

Zest at Royal Motor Yacht Club Point Piper kicked of 2009 with a chic rebranding. Owner Raphael Kahn decided that it was time for a change after realising that the lemons, limes and oranges motives that had once been unique to his business had become commonplace and no longer represented the businesses strengths.

Zest is now Zest Waterfront Venues and has not only rebranded but has also undergone a style revamp. Taking inspiration from the Hamptons, Zest’s imagery now reflects a casual, up market and inspirational waterfront venue highlighting all the strengths of the Zest experience.

The rebrand has so far been extremely well received with new website receiving increased hits and the enquiry rate for 2009 doubling from that of 2008.

The new Zest has the same dedicated team, flexible events packages and exceptional food which its loyal customers have become accustomed to with a chic new feel to reinvigorate your interest.

Interactive Atlantic Group breakfast during AIME - event organisers
went back of house and learnt some great recipes from Dockland's top chefs

10 event organisers from around Australia, visiting Melbourne for AIME, had the chance to experience what it is like to go back of house at Atlantic Group (v). Recognised as one of the premier food venues in Melbourne, the group took the opportunity to make breakfast with the best chefs around.

The group started the day by making their own extravagant breakfast including smoking their own salmon over a woodchip fire, making scrambled eggs with truffle oil and delighting in the most extravagant smoothies around.

Not only did they make their own breakfast but took home the skills and recipes they learnt so that they can recreate their breakfast again.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a fun, interactive team experience to kick start your next meeting. Atlantic Group (v) offers this exciting group activity and many more amazing options for making your meeting or event memorable.

What the participants said about the event:

“Great surprise getting stuck in and cooking the breakfast ourselves. Fantastic way to break the ice, especially with a group who don't know each other”

“Fantastic. I would even offer the breakfast activity as a great solution for some of our clients.”

Cottages come on board at Q Station

Q Station Retreat invites you to experience and indulge yourself in a uniquely private, self-catering escape in its restored cottages.

Secluded. Expansive. Charming. Share the ambience of the former staff cottages and sense what it is like to have your home in a national park. Q Station's cottages are away from all the other accommodation, offering a new level of seclusion, space and quiet. Available from May 2009.

In addition to their 75 heritage rooms with breathtaking views, there are now five beautifully appointed three-bedroom cottages to choose from – again, all with sweeping views of either Sydney’s stunning Harbour, National Park or the surrounding buildings of the historical former Quarantine Station. Each cottage is fitted with a self-contained, well equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge with comfortable furniture, 3 bedrooms, flat screen TV’s with in-house movies and either verandas or full gardens to enjoy the outdoor serenity that this location offers.

Q Station Retreat held a team building showcase in March highlighting the tailor-made, unique and fun activities available to all groups onsite. This event identified a great way to recharge staff.

Recently Q Station Retreat held an intimate event bringing together 30 corporate event planners from around Sydney to see Q Station for the very first time.

The group was transferred from Man O War steps, Circular Quay in style across Sydney Harbour to Q Station’s private Wharf aboard the Sydney Reef Goddess. The group enjoyed spectacular views of Sydney and Manly headlands whilst sipping champagne on the 45 minute journey.

The group then enjoyed champagne and canapés at the Boilerhouse Terrace overlooking Quarantine beach before embarking on a team event helping them explore Q Station.

Kingsley from BeChallenged informed teams that locked within a safe in Q Station was an antidote required to help escape the virus spreading through Sydney Town. Teams were then indulged with a series of challenges including a Spics and Specs, Pick the Difference (between two ensuite rooms) and an interactive Trivia challenge. The entire program only lasted an hour but in this time the participants formed a bond and gained a very unique insight into Q Station.

Q Station has a unique story and there are many creative ways to make your event something more than a meeting.

The group then gathered in the First Class Dining room for an extravagant dinner complemented with some of the most decadent desserts around, before being transferred back to the Man O War steps with views of the city lights in the background.

 SINGAPORE AND BINTAN ISLAND FAMILIARISATION

Meeting and incentive agents from Sydney and Melbourne enjoyed a taste of the diversity and culture on a Singapore and Bintan Island familiarisation in March.

Singapore Tourism Board, Pacific World Singapore and DMS Destination Marketing Services recently hosted six meeting and incentive agents on a familiarisation to Singapore and Bintan Island. Famil participants flew to Singapore on board Singapore Airline’s A380 from Sydney and Melbourne to Changi Airport.

In Singapore, the group spent two nights at the beautiful Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore overlooking the Marina Bay Sands development.

With activities hosted by Singapore Tourism and Pacific World Singapore, participants experienced some of Singapore’s history with a visit to Little India, China Town
and also to the Chinatown Heritage Centre. The group learnt here of the fantastic
Amazing-Race style team building activities Pacific World Singapore are able to
organise throughout some of Singapore’s most famous areas.

Participants on the famil were treated to a number of special experiences including lunch at the Jewel Box with its incredible views over the bay and out to Sentosa, a ‘pedicure’ at the Kenjo Fish Spa, a ride on the Singapore Flier and a river cruise.

Before departing home to Australia the group were taken on a short 50-minute ferry ride to Bintan Island where at Nirwana Gardens Resort they were treated to lunch at the magnificent seafood restaurant, Kelong and a spa treatment in the Kedaton Tropical Spa.

Bintan Island offers so many different options for meeting and incentive groups of any budget and with the excellent support locally you are assured of an exceptional program!
