Last night 50 of Sydney’s conference and event organisers were treated to a night of impressive entertainment as well as creative theming and cuisine at Q Station’s “fire and ice” themed extravaganza.
Guests arrived to the sound of drums and a spectacular display of fire performers, before making their way to Q Station’s largest function space – the Governor Bourke Room, which holds up to 300 people.
A duo of salsa dance professionals took to the stage with their smooth rhythm and invited three lucky couples up to the stage to learn some moves to perform in front of the crowd, setting the scene for a fun night.
Five food stations, each showcasing a selection from Q Station’s superb event menus, presented guests with the opportunity to pick and choose from a range of mouth-watering options prepared by Q Station’s new chefs. Executive Chef of Q Station, Michael Cahill, recently joined the property together with Amit Laud, Head Chef of the Q Station Boilerhouse Restaurant. Together, they are sprucing up Q Station’s menus to offer new and exciting cuisine.
During the night, several lucky guests won fabulous prizes including dinner and accommodation packages and tickets to the property’s infamous ghost tours.
In his welcome speech, Q Station Retreat’s General Manager, Brendan Millett, reinforced the property’s capacity to stage conferences and events of any scale and its distinct position as one of Sydney’s leading venues.
“With 13 function rooms and endless outdoor options, Q Station really can cater to any event. Our great location with Harbour views, the peacefulness of a National Park and the history and heritage of the venue combine to make Q Station a truly unique venue. Best of all, we’re only 30 minutes from the CBD.”
Q Station also announced a brand new event venue opening in October this year, sure to be a hit for Christmas parties with its unrivalled views of the Harbour and large capacity.
