“We recently had the wonderful experience of the team at Cox & Kings Delhi looking after us and our very special clients during a 7 night visit to the Golden Triangle.

From the first email until our return to NZ we felt we were in the very best hands
with Vipul and Sandeep overlooking every step of the way. The organisation of events, special dinners, hotels and transportation was second to none and the service was certainly fit for a King!

The group wanted to bring Mr Singh (our driver) home, he was such a character and certainly made the coach trips very enjoyable. Thank you to all of the team at Cox & Kings, we are already looking forward to our next experience with you”.

Mehrangarh Fort Themed Dinner
The Mehrangarh Fort, located in Jodhpur city in Rajasthan state, is one of the largest forts and a famous tourist place in India. Cox & Kings suggests the Mehrangarh Fort Themed Dinner to give delegates an understanding of the royalty and splendour of Rajasthan.

This unique dining option includes:
- A Select Bar
- Entertainment
- Fireworks
- Dinner
- Costumes for delegates with males provided with Rajasthani turbans (safas) and females given veils (chunnis)

Guests are greeted at Jaipol with guards in ceremonial uniform and a traditional welcome dance performance on the verandah while welcome drinks are served.

The Bakya sounds the start of the procession which is led by a group of musicians. During the procession, war drums are played as guests pass the original gate of Mehrangarh Fort (Rao Jodhaji ka Falsaand) and enter Loha Pol where they are showered with rose petals. The procession winds its way to Suraj Pol where a full bar setup and a tribal performance (Tera Tali) awaits guests.

The procession restarts and moves towards Nagnechia Mata Temple. On reaching the staircase, the uplifting Indian musical beat being played stops and the procession plays in low pitch. Guards in ceremonial dress lead the procession and stop one by one near each highlighted cannon of the fort until the procession reaches the ancient ruins of Fateh Mahal.

As the night unfolds, the traditional Rajasthani musicians (Langas), begin their performance while drinks and snacks are served.

After cocktails, guests are escorted to the dinner venue with surrounding views of Jodhpur city, magnificent carved wooden wall art (jharokas) and galleries of Mehrangarh Fort.

The menu style can either be a traditional Rajasthani Thali or a buffet setup. During dinner guests are serenaded by Rajasthani musicians playing a variety of instruments including a whistle (algoja), a stringed instrument (sarangi), a small harp (morchang) and a fiddle (ravanhatta)

After dinner, guests are escorted back by the Ravanhatta player to the lift terrace where they witness a spectacular fireworks display specially arranged for them. After the show, guests are escorted back to the waiting coaches/cars and transported back to their hotel.
